This month Emego has been sent to our collaborative partner for further trials with real patients. The Assistive Technology Team over at Barnsley Hospital will work with the Emego switch using it with people who use switching technology on a day to day basis.

Final checks for Emego in production

A batch of units were built up to move forward with the trials. These units were created in-house at GSPK Design in Knaresborough in their production facility. We hope to get valuable qualitative data from these trials and refine any final design requirements that may be needed. Throughout the production process, GSPK Design did everything in-house, from creating a bill of materials (BOM) right through to putting the units together and testing.

This process is a core part of what GSPK Design and is one of the reasons Emego units can be created very quickly.
