An Update and an Insight into 2020 for the Emego Assistive Switch
As 2019 draws to a close we wanted to share with you updates about the Emego assistive switch and look ahead into 2020.
The Alternative Assistive Switch Now Used All over the UK
It’s been our first full year of supplying the Emego to users all over the UK. We are delighted to say that the Emego is being used in England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland! The Emego, which detects a user’s muscle twitches and turns them into switches allows everybody to use a computer, tablet, or even environmental control. The Emego is helping people up and down the country by allowing people to access communication software and live a more independent life.
Having received a lot of interest from International countries such as the United States of America, Canada, and Australia (to name just a few) we’ve partnered up with UK based Smartbox (thinksmartbox.com). Smartbox are creators of the popular communication software, Grid 3. They will work with their existing international partners and distribute the Emego overseas.
Whilst we would love to be able to send the Emego assistive switch immediately all over the globe please be patient whilst we ensure that medical accreditation’s are fully up to code in various countries. This does involve extra work and something that we are doing. We will make a full announcement once we have completed these necessary requirements. We look forward to taking the Emego global and for people to use it all over the world.
Following on from crucial initial feedback regarding the EmegoView software our Engineers got to work on making improvements and updates to the existing programme.
