Assistive Technology Event in Harrogate

We were delighted to join David Ashton Jones and all the team at Disability Action Yorkshire who hosted a fantastic assistive technology event at the Cedar Court Hotel in Harrogate.

The event, which hosted many companies in the Assistive Technology space including, Tunstall Healthcare, Possum, Change Mobility and more. The event was well attended by local people from Harrogate.

Emego demonstrated at the Harrogate Assistive Technology Show

Emego gained a lot of interest as Paul and Jack demonstrated some of the brand-new production-ready units. People who visited the stand were treated to a demonstration of the Emego assistive switch working with a Scalextric. This drew in the crowds as well as demonstrating the accuracy of even the smallest of muscle movements. Big thanks to the Electronic Engineers at GSPK Design for getting the Scalextric working with the Emego.

Following on from the successful show we want to thank everyone who we met and visited the stand, a huge thanks to Disability Action Yorkshire for putting on a great event.

Communication Matters

A visit to Leeds took place at the very end of June for the annual Communication Matters suppliers meeting. Jack was invited along to meet with key people in the assistive technology world and engage with the meeting which discussed the Communication Matters conference, roadshows and the future for the organisation.

Communication Matters is UK-wide and supports people of all ages who have difficulty with communication because they have little or no clear speech.

Jack and the Emego team would like to thank the organisers at Communication Matters for the invite and will look to see how we can work together in the future.

Gearing up for launch

We are full steam ahead now for the launch of the Emego assistive switch. The whole team are now busy putting everything together for launch at AAATE in September. We’ve got some exciting news for those who wish to get their hands on an Emego soon but we can’t quite announce it just yet. You’ll have to stay tuned!
